Objectives: 

The main objective of this call is to strengthen competitiveness of the European tourism sector as well as its sustainability by encouraging diversification of the supply of tourist services and products.

The project proposals should aim at promoting sustainable transnational tourism products (such as e.g: routes, itineraries, trails, tourism offer…) in sport or wellness activities in relation to one of the following types of tourism: coastal or maritime or mountain or rural tourism.

Eligibility of applicants

• Applicants must belong to one of the following categories:

·         tourist accommodation

·         catering

·         travel agencies and tour operators

·         attractions

·         leisure (recreational, cultural and sporting activities)

·         tourism related transport

·         other tourism related fields if their relevance for the project proposal is duly justified by the applicant

·         Other kinds of SMEs (e.g. in the fields of media, ICT development and others) may be involved in the project only as subcontractors, not as applicants in the consortium.

• at least one of the applicants must be either a national or regional or local public governmental authority or a network or association of regional or local public governmental authorities
• at least two partners in the project consortium must be SMEs acting in the tourism sector.
• Applicants must be located in EU Member States and/or countries participating in the COSME programme under Article 6 of the COSME Regulation.
• Proposals should be presented by consortia made of minimum 5 legal entities, covering at least 4 EU Member States or countries participating in COSME. 

Budget & Funding Rate:

The maximum grant will be 250.000 EUR per project with a funding rate of 75% of eligible costs.

The deadline for electronic submission is 7 October 2014 17.00 hours (Brussels time).
